Kai

Kai is a real trail blazer of ours. He was shortlisted for 2022 young sailor of the year.

In 2019 he was the youngest ever competitor in the Fastnet Race at the age of 13. He has sailed over 3000 miles offshore in RORC races but really made his name in Lasers. Kai has raced in the Youth Nationals for the past 3 years and all of the qualifiers. Kai is the only BAME competitor in what is the most competitive fleet in the UK being an Olympic class.

Kai has in many ways been the brave one, ignoring the privilege of many of his fellow competitors to raise slowly and painstakingly through the fleet and is now winning some races and is placed high up in the Nationals. He also coaches our younger students and sets to example of personal standards at races and events.
