Chris won the Cowes Week youth Trophy in 2023, being a labelled a ‘trailblazer’ by leading sailors that voted for him.
He had just completed a Day Skipper course and went on to take part in Tall Ships Youth Trust’s Fastnet race. During this race he stepped up into the leadership role. The additional responsibility gave him an unforeseen chance to show what he could do.
After school, Chris secured a work placement at North Sails and Thames Clippers. And went on to a cadetship at UKSA. Since qualifying as a Yacht master he has been working on superyachts in the UK and Netherlands.
