Extending our reach

Last week World Sailing launched it’s Social Inclusion Guidebook. They hope that by including the GCA’s sailing programme as a case study, others might be inspired to develop similar initiatives.

World Sailing is the global governing body for the sport of sailing, officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It aims to inspire, empower and grow vibrant sailing communities around the world.

The NEW Social Inclusion Guidebook, is a resource designed to empower sailing clubs and sailing communities worldwide to address barriers to participation and create sailing programmes that promote social inclusion making everyone who wants to sail feel welcome.

To find out more, please sign up to join their webinar on Wednesday 17 September at 6pm UK (BST). This will introduce the new Social Inclusion Guidebook and features presentations from Jon Holt and others, showing how sailing has transformed opportunities for children.
