We are thrilled that GCA’s Kai Hockley has been awarded the Youth Sports Trust Young Sportsperson of the Year! The Award is Made by Sporting Equals. 

Kai’s brilliant award recognises his hard work and exceptional achievements in sailing over the last year, including wins in The Round the Island Race and Cowes Week.

His ‘standout talent’ has been recognised by Ben Ainslie and the RYA. He recently joined Ben Ainslie’s British sailing teams: the Emirates Great Britain SailGP and the INEOS Britannia America’s Cup teams.

Kai’s progress and achievements are incredible for someone from inner city Haringey, who started sailing five years ago at the Greig City Academy!
