Now, it’s Jessye Opoku Ware’s turn. He has been shortlisted for the prestigious Youth Sailor of the Year award in the British Yachting Awards 2024. But he needs your help to get over the line:
You might notice that Kai Hockley has been shortlisted too. He’s helming their Flying Fifteen, above. It’s not bad that half of all the shortlist come from inner city Grieg City Academy in Haringey!
But, fresh from his recent victory as Young Sportsperson of the Year, Kai is asking everyone to get behind Jessye for this one.
It’s a fantastic acknowledgement of Jessye’s achievements, from winning silverware at Cowes Week to setting the IRC record around the Isle of Wight and regular outings in Etchells and ILCAs.
